Margaux Laurens-Neel's whimsical universe is as much about repulsion as it is about attraction: she skillfully plays with the codes of femininity and virility, depicting imposing bodies worthy of the greatest mythologies. Often accompanied by animals, her figures appear as symbols and prophecies. Using vivid colors with a vast variety of techniques and her seemingly classical style create a genuine encounter between the contemporary and the topics of art history.
